Library Card
A free Bredstedt Public Library Card is available to residents with proof of identification and a current address.
Your card allows you to borrow books and other materials from the library. Because you are responsible for any item that anyone checks out on your card, be sure to let the library know immediately if your card is lost or stolen. (Card replacement is € 2.)

Loan Periods and Renewals
- 3 weeks for all materials except
- 1 week for DVDs, videocassettes, and the current edition of magazines.
Most library materials may be renewed for one more loan period if the item has not been requested by another library user. Renewals may be done by phone or in person.
Requests and Holds
If you are unable to locate the book you want on the shelf, ask at the reference desk and a librarian may be able to locate the book elsewhere in the library system.
